Göttingen, Germany

Postdoctoral Researcher [September 2024 - present]

Doctoral Researcher  [September 2020 - September 2024]

  • Instrument Scientist on the PHI instrument on Solar Orbiter.
  • Developed the on ground data reduction pipeline for the magnetograph instrument on the ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter spacecraft and produce magnetic field maps. In operation since 2021 with over a million raw frames processed into L2 data products.
  • Cross-calibrated these magnetic field maps with those from a similar Earth-based magnetograph.
  • Numerically simulated the solar surface to investigate different viewing angles and spatial resolutions on the inference of its magnetic field.
  • Coordinated Solar Orbiter observation campaigns}, liaising with instrument teams and ESA to acquire high impact scientific data.
  • Authored and co-authored 20+ scientific articles with 170+ citations.
